Hey bro. Jonah here.

Do you remember that time you wanted to finally start a youtube channel or a business,

but ended up watching youtube and playing video games instead?

Or that time you wanted to hold a specific social interaction with a cute girl or a high status dude, but just went to scroll on your phone?

Maybe that time you wanted to join a martial arts gym or clean your room, but put it off for months?

Have you ever noticed that the biggest hurdle to achieving our goals and dreams isn't a lack of resources or opportunities?

It’s not laziness, a lack of mere discipline, intelligence, or IQ.

Then what is it?

More often than not, it's procrastination.

Procrastination isn't just laziness or a lack of discipline.

From my experience, I've come to see it as a red flag - an indicator of a fear or uncertainty lurking beneath our consciousness.

It could be the fear of failure or even success, the underlying discomfort of stepping out of our comfort zones, or a simple lack of clarity.

Procrastination is merely a symptom. The real disease is the unaddressed, internal disquiet that triggers this behaviour.

Imagine a life unmarred by procrastination, where every idea is pursued, every gym session accomplished, every interesting conversation had.

Sounds enticing, doesn't it?

But wait, it gets better.

You see, by eliminating procrastination, we not only seize opportunities but also start creating a positive depiction of ourselves in our own minds.

Our self-confidence grows, and we start to finally believe that we can achieve whatever we set our minds to.

We can be true to our own words.

As a man, this is extremely important.

Now, Jonah aged 16-21 years old, would have benefited IMMENSELY from this next part.

Because he thought it’s all about “doing the hard work when not feeling like it” and forming iron-clad-discipline like a lot of the gurus say.

Beating procrastination isn't about "muscling through" or "gritting your teeth" to get things done.

It's about acknowledging and addressing these underlying fears, reasons and uncertainties.

It's about fostering a relationship with yourself that's based on understanding, acceptance, and kindness, rather than self-reproach.

Hating or bad mouthing yourself is exactly what procrastination wants.

It feeds on your self-doubt, sowing seeds of discontent that can spill over into other areas of your life - your mental and physical health, your relationships, your overall well-being.

Before you know it, you're trapped in this vicious cycle of procrastination, self-sabotage and self-loathing, which chips away at your confidence and potential.

And here's the kicker - the first step to breaking this cycle is realising you're in it.

I made a free PDF to help you with exactly this first stage. Get it here and use it right after reading this email to take a positive action immediatley.

Recognizing procrastination for what it truly is - a symptom of our inner turmoil and not the disease itself - changed the game for me.

An underlying reason that is causing you to procrastinate in any particular instance in the first place.

Self-love plays a pivotal role here.

To overcome procrastination, we need to realise it first.

For that, we need to nurture a relationship with ourselves that's based on understanding, acceptance, and kindness.

When you catch yourself procrastinating, instead of berating yourself, ask:

  • "What am I really avoiding here? What fears or uncertainties am I running from? Why am I really avoiding this?”

Imagine the potential we could unlock if we replaced this ONE habit of delay with healthier ones.

All the business advice on how to make 10.000/per month worthless if you can’t put it into action.

All the advice on how to grow your aesthetic gym muscles is worthless if you don’t have consistency.

All the advice for dating and getting girls is pointless if you’re not going to act on.

How much time and money have you wasted on self improvement because you skipped this crucial step?

How much further could you be?

The issue for not being where you want to be is, and has always been, procrastination.

We'll delve more into strategies and practical ways to overcome procrastination in upcoming newsletters.

Procrastination is a much bigger and more complex issue than most people think.

I’ll leave you with the 2 most important pointers to eliminate procrastination:

  1. Realising that (and why) you’re procrastinating

  2. Accountability

Keep that in mind.

You can use the PDF I made to solve the 1. part already if you’re truly an action taker.

As for the 2. part; find a community that you like for accountability.

Even better; find a mentor that keeps you accountable.

With developing an understanding to realise procrastination more often and the accountability of an entire community and maybe even from a mentor who is a few steps above you,

you’re more than 60% of the way there to literally conquering procrastination bro.

Imagine that. Almost sounds too simple to reach all your goals in life doesn’t it?

Remember, this is not merely about being more productive.

It's about fostering self-love and self-awareness, and breaking free from the constraints of procrastination.

Life can indeed be as good as we imagine, if not better, once we rid ourselves of this silent dream-killer.

Be mindful that recognizing procrastination is the first step to transforming your life and realising your potential.

Until next week.

Yours in the journey,

- Jonah
